I knit and crochet, but I feel very differently about both of them. I&#39;m no crochet expert (I only learned last year) but to me it feels a lot quicker than knitting. It also depends what you want to make: I have trouble finding nice crochet patterns for clothes, whereas there are some truly amazing knitting patterns out there. I love the 1970s feel of crochet home decor though, so I&#39;ll be carrying on with both!<br /><br />PS: I taught myself, using books and the internet (You Tube is still teaching me new tricks!) but I would also recommend joining Ravelry.com as it&#39;s a huge community and there are tonnes of free patterns available.
